The BRICS Journalists Association took part in the plenary session “The role of the BRICS Media Community in strengthening stability and cooperation in a multipolar world” within the framework of the Media Summit BRICS 2024.
The event was also attended by the heads of the leading media structures of the association and the heads of the media of the countries that applied for membership in the BRICS.
The eventful program of the Media Summit included panel sessions with experts and officials on topical issues of media development.
The event was organized by the Russian news agency TASS, which turned 120 years old..

Freedom of speech in digital multipolarity: threats and risks at the Kazan Digital Week 2024 forum.
Today, at the Kazan Digital Week 2024 forum, the BRICS Journalists Association held a round table on the topic “Freedom of speech in digital multipolarity: threats and risks”.
The event was attended by:
John Shipton is an Australian activist, the creator of WikiLeaks, the father of Julian Assange (Australia);
Thomas Roper – journalist, editor-in-chief of Anti-Spiegel (Germany);
Fiorella Isabel Majorca – journalist, geopolitical analyst (USA);
Sonja van den Ende is a journalist and geopolitical analyst from the Netherlands. She is persecuted by his country for his work, coverage of his own and participation in the referendum in Donbass as an independent observer;
Cyril de Lattre – geopolitical and strategic analyst, blogger (France);
Melnikov Ivan Vladimirovich – international human rights activist, Director of the BRICS Artificial Intelligence Agency (Moscow);
Semyon Boikov is a public figure and blogger (Australia).
