The organization is a public formation and is outside the sphere of state policy. The purpose of the Organization is to unite journalists for the development and strengthening of comprehensive cooperation in the BRICS countries, protecting the interests of media representatives in all countries of the world:

Development and strengthening of comprehensive cooperation (including content exchange) between media representatives (both official and independent) in the BRICS countries;

promotion of the socially significant agenda of the BRICS countries in the national media through the multilateral exchange of information and content;

Promoting the dissemination of truthful information about the BRICS countries at the international level;

contributing to the formation and promotion of a positive image of the BRICS countries by informing the international audience about the investment, technological and cultural attractiveness of the BRICS countries, about innovations in education, health, ecology and achievements in other areas;

promoting the development of comprehensive cooperation and exchange in the areas of culture, education, business, social projects and mutual assistance between the BRICS countries and other countries;

Media cooperation in a multipolar world;

Ensuring a strong and coordinated media response to information attacks, which continue to be directed both at the BRICS countries and at all states supporting multipolarity. Especially from the mainstream Western media;

assistance in achieving a balance of power in the international media space at the global level, where at the moment there is dominance and, in places, manipulation and disinformation by the Western media;

Support for the media of the BRICS countries in the implementation of coordinated actions based on the principles of joint development and mutual benefit;

illegal actions, including any form of discrimination of rights related to race, skin color, gender, language, religion, political and other beliefs, national or social origin, property, class and other status of journalists;

other violations of the rights of journalists and media representatives in accordance with international and national law, the Charter of the Organization, decisions of the Congress, conferences and executive bodies of the Organization.
